COMPLETE CHAKRA MEDITATION

Following the Patanjali, we have learnt that there are seven spiritual energy- centers, which are known as CHAKRAS. These Chakras are located at the back of the body and are arranged along the line of the spinal cord.

These chakras are encircled with petals which look like lotus petals. 

The name and location of these chakras are mentioned below.

1. Sahasrara: Situated at the crown of the head with 1000 petals.
2. Ajna: This Chakra is in between eyebrows with 2 petals.
3. Vishuddha: This Chakra is in the region of the throat with 16 petals.
4. Anahata: This is near the heart 12 petals.
5. Manipura: This is near the solar plexus with 10 petals.
6. Svadhisthana: This is just above the genitals with 6 petals.
7. Muladhara: It is also known as the Root Chakra. This is located at the base of the spinal cord, close to the genitals and anus. It looks like a lotus flower with 4 petals.

The Kundalini is in the Muladhara Chakra, coiled up in a triangular area that looks like a serpent. Kundalini a reservoir of one’s psychic energy. In this connection I would like to draw your attention to Raj Yoga. The goal of Raja Yoga is to awaken the Kundalini and send it upward along with the chakras until it reaches the Sahasrara and opens the chakra with thousand-petals.
